On the road Canada to Lake Ontario

This is a little backward.  We actually went from Vermont (the dairy farm) into Canada to Montreal. The city was busy, the gas outrageous and the freeways congested so we came back to the states at 1000 Islands.

This is a few of the Islands coming from Canada.  How can all this beauty be here and we have never heard of them. Well they do get a little rain and snow to keep it this green.  Love that San Diego brown!

Wow how cool, get your tennies on honey we are going for a hike, not, they only use the stairs for emergency, darn.  We did take the elevator and the view of the Islands was spectacular.

The launch and entry was successful.

John always takes the back seat so I don't see him not paddling.  Check out the lilly pads.  We saw muskrats and turtles.

That was a little otter in the water.  Plenty of the great blue heron and everybody has a nest.  This was actually a little marsh opposite Lake Ontario. 

Can't pass this up, great advertisement, wouldn't this look cool in our yard?

107 miles to Niagara Falls.  We had no reception for days, not sure I would ever get back to the blog so we started again at the Falls.  I am sitting at the table now catching up at Dave Sitler's childhood home in Salem Ohio.  There place is fabulous with every farm toy imaginable.  Stay tuned to the blog for pictures and embarrassing stories about Dave.

It looks like taco night.  That could be any night, we eat a lot of tacos, we just love em!

You never think of New York as pretty, but upstate and across Lake Ontario just across from the Canadian border is unbelievable.  The state park campgrounds are all grass and the sites are about 1/4 acre each with electric, and quiet, you can hear a pin drop.
