Great fries on Cape Cod

Taking a break in Conneticut, walking along the beach and riding our bikes.  Lots of birds and fishing boats.

Over the bridge to Cape Cod.  So many bridges and so many tolls and so much traffic.  We left at 5:30 am this morning from New Jersey going into New York and getting out by 6:30 (Don't tell Cheryl Korman we didn't even stop).  We drove through Connecticut, Rhode Island and stayed at Nickerson State Park on Cape Cod.  They are famous for their fresh water ponds bigger than most lakes.   These were created by Glaciers.

Taking a break at the Canal Visitor Center.  After WWII they built this canal that is 7 miles long enabling large ships to cut across to the Boston Harbor.  Much like the one in Corinth between the Agean and Meditarrean seas. 

This was cool to sea a tug pulling a very large barge through the canal.

Just a quick lunch of fish & chips, it almost seems healthy, I think I will always call my fries chips.

I think she was the cook, don't forget to kiss the cook.

The sign says Men's Restroom the other sign says Women and Men's Restroom, just like on the golf course.

A grist mill in sandwich, they mill corn, not a corn sandwich, that is the town.

nice Dad to stay with Mom and kids.

1/2 mile of boardwalk over marsh land and bird nests.

another liberty bell, without the 3 hour wait.

7 miles of bike paths on both sides of the canal and several bridges.

The lobster is the caller for your order.

our second night at Shawme State forest.  Our first night at Nickerson State park had 7 fresh water ponds created by glaciers, no water flowing to or fro.  No pics, sorry the camera needed charging.

we made it home, thankfully after a few miles on a very busy road.

It was worth it cause I found a cute waterfront sign to put in the sunroom.

Dinner is almost ready,, don't go anywhere.
